Superbet’s chief revenue officer (CRO), Adam Shaw, has announced he is set to step down from his role after five years with the Central and Eastern European (CEE) operator.
Shaw joined Superbet back in January 2019 as managing director for online, a post he would occupy until October 2022.
He then moved up to the Bucharest-based company’s C-suite, landing the position of CRO from October 2022 onwards.
Prior to Superbet, Shaw held senior positions at Betfair and Paddy Power Betfair between 2012 and 2018.
Writing on LinkedIn, Shaw explained he was taking a brief career break before exploring new opportunities in 2025.
He said: “Tomorrow (23 September) marks the start of my final week at Superbet – it’s been a wonderful journey but it’s time to move on after almost six years doing all sorts of different roles across the group and seeing extraordinary growth.
“The job has opened more doors and opportunities for work, learning and fun than I could have imagined and I’ve no doubt Superbet will go on to much bigger and better things into the future.
“Huge thanks of course to [founder] Sacha Dragic, [former CEO] Johnny Hartnett and everyone else who made the ride unforgettable.”
Shaw’s departure marks the latest in a slew of changes for Superbet at the executive level.
Earlier this month, EGR exclusively revealed that founder Sacha Dragic returned to the company as co-CEO, serving alongside Jimmy Maymann.
Dragic had previously moved from CEO to group chair in August 2019 before being replaced by former Deezer CEO Hans-Holger Albrecht in February 2023.
Additionally, former Meta head Albert Simsensohn stepped up this month, September, to the role of chief operating officer after 11 months working as the Superbet’s chief marketing officer.
In August, Andrei Dușu was appointed the new chief product officer, transitioning from his pervious role as vice-president of product and data.
Earlier this month, former vice-president of engineering Sameen Jalal was also named as the new chief technology officer of the operator’s technology arm, Happening.
