Brightstar Lottery has reported 7% year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth for Q3, as bosses praised the refocusing of the business as a “lottery pure play”.

Revenue rose from $587m to $629m for the business formerly known as IGT.

Instant ticket and draw wager revenue rose 7% to $512m, with the arm dominating Brightstar’s revenue pie.

US multi-state jackpot revenue jumped 74% from $21m to $36m, while other revenue slipped from $119m to $109m.

Breaking operations down by geography, the US and Canada accounted for the lion’s share with $304m, followed by Italy with $257m.

The Rest of the World at $69m made up the remainder of revenue. The division was the only one to fail to post growth versus Q3 2024.

The supplier’s adjusted EBITDA increased to $294m, a rise of 11% compared to the $264m reported last year.

Brightstar reaffirmed its revenue and adjusted EBITDA expectations for full-year 2025 at $2.5bn and $1.1bn, respectively.

The company also introduced medium-term targets, chief among them a 2028 revenue of $2.75 bn and adjusted EBITDA of $1.3bn.

Management said these gains would be leveraged via expansion in online lottery in the US and Italian B2C efforts.

Earlier this year, Brightstar rebranded from IGT after Apollo snapped up IGT Gaming for $4bn. Brightstar pivoted to focus solely on lottery operations.

Vince Sadusky, Brightstar CEO, said: “We achieved many milestones in Q3: closing the IGT Gaming sale for $4bn in cash, executing our shareholder return plans, and completing the refocusing of the company as a lottery pure play.

“The better-than-expected Q3 revenue and profit results reflect a significant acceleration of same-store sales across all geographies.

“For nearly 50 years, our innovative products and services have helped our customers excel. The 2028 financial targets we are introducing today reflect a stronger organic growth profile that we believe will drive compelling, incremental value over the next few years.”
