Arc Raiders is set to release this week, after a string of popular beta tests, so here’s all the details you need for the shooter’s launch.

Battlefield 6 may have stolen the limelight so far this year, but another shooter is barrelling down the pipeline which could steal its thunder.

Developed by The Finals creators Embark Studios, Arc Raiders is a third person extraction shooter where players, either solo, in duos, or squads of three, head out on raids for loot against hostile robots and enemy players.

There have been several public playtests over the past year, with the last being earlier this month, which has led to direct comparisons to Bungie’s long-delayed Marathon. If you’re looking to see what all the hype is about, here’s what Arc Raiders is all about.

What is an extraction shooter?

The extraction shooter is a relatively new genre, popularised by the Dark Zone mode in 2016’s Tom Clancy’s The Division. Instead of racking up kills, like in a traditional deathmatch, extraction shooters are hinged around dropping into an area, gathering loot, and making it out alive without you or your squad being wiped out – whether from the roaming enemy AI or opposing squads who are hunting for loot at the same time.

In Arc Raiders you’re hunting for resources on the planet’s surface which has been overrun with deadly machines. By extracting these materials, you can retreat to the underground and use them to complete quests, acquire upgrades, or craft gear.

The most famous example of the genre is Escape From Tarkov (not to be confused with parody Escape From Duckov) and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction.

What is the release date and time for Arc Raiders?

Arc Raiders is set to launch worldwide on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

According to a post on the Arc Raiders website, the game will launch worldwide at 9.30am GMT in the UK, across all platforms. This translates to 2.30am PDT in the US and 10.30am CET in Europe.

What platforms is Arc Raiders available on?

The shooter will be released across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam or the Epic Games Store.

Sadly, it won’t be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch or Nintendo Switch 2.

How much is Arc Raiders?

While it was originally going to be a free-to-play title, Arc Raiders now carries a semi-premium price. Over on PC and Xbox Series X/S, the shooter’s standard edition costs £30.99, while it is (for some reason) slightly more expensive on PlayStation 5 at £32.99.

At launch, there’s no physical edition of Arc Raiders, so it’s a like it or lump it situation with the digital version.

What’s in the Arc Raiders Deluxe Edition?

If you have some extra cash, you can fork out for the deluxe edition at £49.99. This includes the base game, a lip scar character cosmetic, a legendary emote, a scrappy skin, 2,400 in-game currency Raider Tokens, and the Wanderer Cosmetic pack – consisting of a Valente outfit, Pathfinder backpack, and a Blanket Roll backpack attachment.

Are there any Arc Raiders pre-order bonuses?

If you pre-order either the standard or deluxe edition, you’ll receive the Lucky Duck bundle and the Bruiser Bundle at launch. The former features a Hatchling backpack and a golden rubber duck backpack charm, while the latter features the Boxing Gloves backpack attachment, bruised face style cosmetic, and a Punch Hands emote.

By pre-ordering the deluxe edition you’ll get the Astro Cosmetic Pack added on top as well. This includes a G-suit outfit, a Salvager backpack, a Spaceship Souvenir backpack attachment, and outfit colour variants.

Does Arc Raiders have crossplay and cross-progression?

Yes, Arc Raiders has crossplay and cross-progression across all platforms. On the crossplay side, it is enabled by default but you can switch it off in the settings – although there is no option for console-only crossplay.

For cross-progression, your saves can be accessed on other platforms through your Embark ID. So there’s no problem if you want to switch between consoles or PC (as long as you’ve bought a copy on each respective platform).
