Playtech has announced the appointment of Laura Taylor as the FTSE 250 firm’s new group company secretary.
Taylor has served as deputy secretary since arriving at the company in April 2025.
She will take on the company secretary role from 1 November 2025, replacing Brian Moore, who is retiring after holding the position for 10 years.
Former Paddy Power deputy company secretary Moore joined Playtech in February 2015. He is stepping down from his role effective today, 31 October.
In addition to her role with Playtech, Taylor also serves as a non-executive director for the Bedfordshire Football Association.
Prior to joining Playtech, she served as deputy company secretary at construction firm Kier Group from May 2022 to April 2025.
Before that she held the same role at recruitment outfit Page Group between December 2019 and April 2022.
Taylor has also held several assistant company secretary roles throughout her career.
She served in that capacity at hospitality firm Whitbread, construction giant Atkins, the Royal Mail and wholesaler Booker Group.
A Playtech statement read: “Playtech is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Taylor as group company secretary, with effect from 1 November 2025.
“Laura has served as Playtech’s deputy company secretary since April 2025 and brings a wealth of expertise to the role. She has over 15 years’ experience in company secretarial roles across FTSE-listed and international businesses.
“Playtech also announces the retirement of Brian Moore, after 10 years as company secretary, with effect from today’s date.
“The board wishes to express its gratitude to Brian for his significant contribution to the company, and wishes him well for the future.”
In April, Playtech appointed former DAZN executive John Gleasure as a non-executive director, before he assumed the role of chair the following month.
Earlier this month, Playtech was named as the company responsible for commissioning Israeli intelligence firm Black Cube to produce a report into fellow supplier Evolution, which the latter claimed was “highly inflammatory” and contained “knowingly false claims”.
In response, Playtech said it “stands by” its decision to commission the report.
